Although this Church very probably already existed in 1230, the works on it lasted for almost the entire 13th century which is why the Romanesque style can be detected in the Cistercian style, characterised by the pointed arch mirroring a clearly gothic style. Heavily renovated in 1739, the façade was restructured bringing back to prominence the double French door (the only example in Italy) and the large triple-arched windows in terracotta. Inside, following a Latin cross plan, with three naves and anterior visible trusses, several works can be admired by Ciceri, Tassinari, Magatti, Campi, Procaccini; the 15th-century walnut choir by the Donati family; the amazing Cappella dell'Immacolata from the end of the 15th century which was expanded and reworked in the 700s.
