This was built around the year one thousand by the Malaspina family and was probably built over existing ruins. It was rebuilt and fortified in 1360 by Galeazzo Visconti. It follows a rectangular plan and has square towers. In the 17th century it underwent extensive remodelling works. It was restored in the early nine hundreds by the marquis Roverato, its new owners. It is currently a private residence.
